Bear on the Square Mountain Festival 2017 - Dahlonega, GA

One of the fun things about living in Dahlonega is getting to go to all of the local festivals and events. This was my first time going to Bear on the Square. Luckily I went on Saturday and missed all the rain on Sunday.

Here's some images I made with my Nikon F2 and 5cm f/2 or 80-200mm f/4.5 lenses, on T-Max 100 and Superia 200:

I also took this shot with my Rolleicord I:

Finally, I have been making some wet prints in my new darkroom of a couple of these shots. Here are some prints in the final wash:

Greenville, South Carolina

So last month I went up to Greenville to drop off a framed print I was showing at a small group show (the theme of the show was Architecture). While there I visited some friends and we went to Falls Park in downtown. It was a lovely place and Greenville in general seems like an interesting city.

Here's some images from my trip:

The square images I took with my Rolleiflex K4 / 50 and the rest were 35mm with my Nikon SP.

Black Mountain Look Out Tower, off the Appalachian Trail

A few weeks ago Meagan and I hiked to the look out tower on Black Mountain, near Suches. This tower is just a bit off of the main Appalachian Trail trail-head at Woody Gap.

You can't get on the tower due to a fence but the view south is pretty nice.

Here's a few images from my Nikon SP from the hike and the top:

I also brought my 6x17 and shot a few images from the top:

And speaking of Woody Gap, I hiked south on the AT from there and shot more with my 6x17 near Jacks Gap and Liss Gap:
