Abstracts, Lake Lanier

The lake is still really low, and so in the past month I've gone a few times to different areas to see what I could photograph.

The most recent time, I focused on abstraction. Some images are more identifiable than others, but I tried to also shoot some almost Rorschach-like images:

On another trip with Meagan, we explored a couple of islands and I shot these on my Rolleiflex:

One more - here is Meagan hanging out on some rocks:

Back in South Georgia - Valdosta

I was in Valdosta for a whole week, and visited a few of my favorite spots, including Grand Bay, and right up the road in Adel, Reed Bingham State Park. I shot these on my Pentax 67ii and 55mm or 105mm lenses:

And I also brought my Leica M6 and shot a roll of Velvia 50 at Grand Bay of the colorful plants and such floating in the swamp:

This was a good reminder of how awesome Velvia is!

Back in South Georgia - Bainbridge

On another trip I went to Bainbridge with Meagan for a wedding. I had some fun shooting landscapes out at a wildlife management area and at the groom's family property:

Back in South Georgia - Albany

In the past few weeks I've been travelling a lot, including to south GA for some events. At different times I was in Valdosta, Albany, and other places visiting friends and going to some of my old favorite hiking spots.

In Albany there is a beautiful spot at Radium Springs. I went there with my friend Ed and shot some photos of him shooting his new 2x3 Graphic, as well as of the springs and surrounding remnants of a hotel:
